Firefly Montessori School is a nurturing community that practices the Montessori method with a strong focus on following the child’s unique needs and interests. We create an environment rich in opportunities for discovery, independence, and mastery through hands-on lessons and activities. Our curriculum emphasizes ecology, where students actively plant, harvest, and prepare the food they enjoy, fostering responsibility and connection to nature. Beyond academics, we cultivate values of friendship, curiosity, caring, and self-direction while engaging students in music, art, literature, and meaningful discussions about the world.
Our Primary Program
At Firefly Montessori, we offer a Primary Classroom for children ages 2 to 5 years old, designed to guide them through a joyful transition from toddlerhood to independence. Rooted in Montessori principles, our classroom provides a nurturing, hands-on environment where children learn through discovery, collaboration, and self-direction.
Led by an AMS-credentialed Montessori guide with over 17 years of teaching experience, along with dedicated assistant teachers, our program emphasizes independence, curiosity, and care for both self and community. Children explore practical life, sensorial work, language, mathematics, and cultural studies, while also engaging in a strong ecology curriculum where they plant, harvest, and prepare food together.
This full-day program supports not only academic growth but also social, emotional, and creative development—helping each child gain confidence, courtesy, and a lifelong love for learning.
